INCREDIBLE ALIEN WILDLIFE!
Stingray Experience
Encountering stingrays can be a daunting challenge for many visitors unaccustomed to meeting wildlife up close and personal. Fear of the unknown is evident on the minds and faces of those who are contemplating whether or not to take the challenge and meet our rays - one on one. An experienced guide will brief visitors about the foraging habits and individual personalities of the rays. Of course there are rules to follow before one is allowed to engage personal contact with these misunderstood animals. Everyone's comfort and safety is foremost on the tour.
Our signature "Stingray Experience Tour" held on a deserted cay off the West End is one of the most popular educational ecology tours on Grand Bahama Island. Visitors are immersed into an environment to feed and swim with wild stingrays. For maximum interaction with the rays guests are limited to 6 persons. Exceptions for additional guests are determined on a case by case basis.
An important aspect of the company is to maintain the natural behavior of the stingrays. The animals are not abused or exploited. Human interaction is limited and supervised with the utmost care. The stingrays roam a wide area of the sea for sustenance and return to the cay as the tide cycle is rising to continue their search for food.
Visitors willing to step into the natural element of the stingrays are in for a pleasant "close encounter" with these soft, elegant, angels of the sea. This is a perfect "off the beaten path" nature excursion for families, couples, and close friends. Children 5 years and up are welcome to participate in the encounter.
Be sure to bring a blank 32G SD card to receive complementary pictures and videos of the tour.
This is truly a once in a lifetime experience!
